Ogre protein distribution in amnioserosa cells.
The image shows amnioserosa cells (As) on the dorsal surface of an 8-10 hour old wild type embryo prior to dorsal closure. Ogre protein (green) is detected using anti-Ogre rabbit polyclonal primary antibody and an FITC-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary. Ogre accumulates in plaques at the plasma membrane (arrowheads) and strongly resembles the Inx2 and Inx3 plaques observed in similar-aged amnioserosa cells. The possibility exists that all three of these innexins (and possibly others that have not been looked for in these cells) could interact.
