Wing phenotype revealing genetic interaction between Notch and dominant Inx2 alleles.

Wing phenotype revealing genetic interaction between Notch and dominant Inx2 alleles.

Photograph of a wing from a female fly of genotype Inx2TA181 / N264-39 . The presence of the dominant Inx2 allele suppresses the wing serration phenotype normally observed in flies carrying this Notch allele. However, it enhances the thick-veins, Delta-like phenotype (arrowheads), suggesting a complex interaction between the pathways mediated by Notch and Inx2.
