Wing phenotypes observed expressing multiple UAS-innexins. UAS-ogre and UAS-inx7.

In this case the C96GAL4 ( Gustafson and Boulianne, 1996) line drives expression of both Ogre and Inx7 in the developing wing margin. The observed wing serration phenotype (arrowheads) is stronger than that observed when UAS-ogre2UO15 or UAS-inx73U(7X)8 are expressed alone. However, the combined effect of UAS-inx7 and UAS-ogre is much less than that observed using strong alleles of UAS-ogre, therefore, there does not appear to be any synergism between these two molecules...at least during wing development.
