Innexin Gap Junctions

Drosophila innexins - ShakB / inx8


The ShakB locus is located at position 19E3 on the X chromosome. At least three proteins are produced, ShakB(lethal), ShakB(neural) and ShakB(n+16). The latter is identical to ShakB(neural) except for an extra 16 amino acids at the N-terminus.
